This piece goes a long way to explaining the misconceptions which govern the outside world's relation to what used to be called the Arab- Israeli conflict but now it seems is somewhat more than that. The principle that the Arab- Islamic side wants the conflict to continue and that no concessions from Israel's side will ever satisfy them explains a lot about what has happened in the Middle East over the past sixty years. Had they wanted 'peace' we would have had it a long time ago.
