I do not know enough to judge the relative weight of various teachings about Jews or simply ‘others’ in Islam. I do know that a standard line, certainly in Mideast countries, is ‘the apes and pigs , kill them all’ line. But this is not the line professed publicly by all Muslims especially when they are in a minority position in democratic countries.
If on one side the Obama line is one which denies the basic reality, shouldn’t we too not be denying that there is this other strain however secondary. Or should we simply put all Muslims in the enemy camp forever, and resign ourselves to having a billion three hundred million people ( and growing) as our eternal enemies?

It is beyond sad that Britain, as well as much of the Western world, has adopted the Palestinian narrative of victimhood over fact. The truth is, there is already great prosperity, comparatively speaking, among the Palestinians and this could be multiplied many fold if the world would just give them a swift kick in the rear and say “NO!” for once.
As for Tobin’s comments about the security wall, they should have mentioned the other fifteen or so security walls that no one seems to want to talk about. They can be viewed at http://www.amram.tw or http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8342923.stm. Interestingly, the majority of them have Muslims on at least one side.
The colonializing British were masters at sucking the riches from their conquests and then often leaving those places in turmoil and war. Their hypocrisy, their cruelty and their contempt knows no bounds.
