The truth however is that they do not have an identity as Israelis in any real 'subjective' sense. They are to themselves Palestinians who feel they have a better deal socially, and economically in Israel and so do not wish to be excluded from the state that provides them this- though they refuse to serve it and show it no loyalty. Their position is one in which they demand to receive everything, and wish to give nothing. 'Hypocrisy' is too small a word for it.
