We wonder what his opinion was when Egypt attacked Israel on Yom Kippur, 1973.
He also was upset by “shocking pictures, primitive pictures” that were posted on the Internet shortly afterwards. We hope that he felt the same about the video showing Daniel Pearl having his head sawn off.
Meanwhile, a Holocaust denial conference opened in Cairo last week. Mr. Mubarak hasn’t commented on this.

I should add that Aljazeera’s profile of Mr. Mubarak describes him as one of the planners of the Yom Kippur war. So I guess we know how he feels about it.
