Why I do this
Several people have asked me why I spend so much time writing and editing this blog, which few people will read anyway. The answer is that I can’t be quiet in the face of the continuous barrage of anti-Israel and antisemitic material in so much of the media, especially on the Internet.
It seems to me that somehow the anti-Zionists have been successful in turning the truth upside down, using concepts like self-determination and human rights — concepts which truly characterize Zionism as I understand it — to portray Israel and Zionism as racist and inhumane.
The lies that are told about Israel, and often believed by well-meaning but poorly informed people, do not describe the Israel where I lived and where my children live today. And the true intentions of Israel’s enemies must be made manifest.
I want to set things straight. It’s a compulsion. Since the New York Times prefers the columns of Thomas Friedman (for example) to mine, this is the alternative that I’ve chosen.
If you like my point of view and want more people to read it, here are some things you can do:
- Write something yourself for FresnoZionism.org. I don’t promise that every submission will be published, and I do promise that I will edit every one that is published to some extrent, but if you write something instead of me, I can use the time for the rest of my life, including my day job which puts food on the table. Don’t worry if you write English poorly; that’s what editors are for. Email me at info AT fresnozionism DOT org.
- If you have a web site or a blog, add a link to http://FresnoZionism.org. Please! The more links I have, the better placement in search engines I will get, and the more likely it will be that people will read my articles.
- Go to JBlog Central and vote for FresnoZionism’s posts that you like (you can also vote for posts in other blogs, of course!).
- Join Technorati and “favorite” FresnoZionism.org.
Please tell your friends about FresnoZionism.org.
Thanks.
